My mother and father worked at the Ambassador in the late 60's, if fact that is where they met. I have fond memories of the hotel as a child and want to help, as well as research the hotel. I have been researching to no avail, commercials that my father appeared in with Sammy Davis Jr. and others. If anyone knows of a video archive – I would think about 1968-1970, please let me know.
I remember Walter Winchell had an office at The Ambassador when my parents worked there. So many memories come to mind, the diving board at the pool, the fountain in the lobby that I loved to walk around as a very small youngster. WOW! Taking me back some 30 years or more!
