Now, let's get to some facts. You took an
"extensive" tour of the complex. What was it that
cause you to say "attempts" at grandeur. That
hotel was built when opulence WAS the in thing?
What did you see that changed your mind. Be
specific. I have seen the exterior, and nothing
will ever make me change my mind. I have heard
from others who have seen the building, that it
is actually in quite good shape. So, from the
floorboards, to the stucco on the ceilings...let's
get specific as to why you changed your mind.
Personally, none of the options will give Wilshire
Blvd the make-over that it needs. The LAUSD will
simply invite vandalism and graffitti (I'm from
So. Calif!). My vote is that the movie studios
restore the grounds (all of them!) and make the
complex into a combination studio/hotel.
It worked with Disney Studio. Looking forward to
