Well said Jon. The architecture of the past by todays standards may be too expensive to re-create which I feel is even more the need to preserve what little we have left. Currently I have moved away from Los Angeles and although a frequent poster in the past on this site my love for the Ambassador and hopes for its complete restoration has not ceased, currently living in Palm Beach Florida I look at The Breakers Hotel here which is of a similar vintage and style of The Ambassador and KNOW people would be in an uproar and not sit passively back and let it be taken away, turned into a school or mall and I am afraid that aside from a group of us that attend(ed) meetings to save the bldg. there is way too vast a group that does not know or care about what is going on in their own back yard. I hope and pray for the buildings restoration and return to public use in a proper form.
