There's a sign in front that advertises it as a place to shoot films. The number on it is 213-387-7011, which, kind of sadly, is the original number for the hotel. Someone answers saying, "Wilshire Group" or something like that. If they rent it out for filming and LAPD training, I don't see why they wouldn't rent it out for a party! Can I go? Don't expect the hotel to look like it does in the pictures- it's terribly run-down at the moment.
