OK a schmaltzy name sure but that was the name of the statue and fountain at the Wilshire Boulevard entrance later removed due to kids filling the fountain with soap suds. The Statue was apparently modeled for by A) Betty Grable or B) Greta Garbo. Now I am assuming that that fountain was there since day 1 perhaps I am wrong-but wouldn't they even have been a little too young to have modeled for it? Any info on that? I am thinking it is a load of hooey! (forgive my harsh tongue) :-)
